bubbly and easily excitable, solveir is someone who only acts on her own principles — though she is easily convinced by outside pressures. she longs to express herself freely and where her words fail, she turns towards art to communicate. her energetic, carefree, and sometimes childish demeanor is solveir’s way of making up for her lost childhood; the childhood she spent placating the people around her and answering to her parents’ hopes.
solveir is extremely passionate about the things she loves, especially things that are cute, bordering on obsession. once she finds something that interests her, she would devote all of herself to it. she would eat the same food everyday for weeks on end, be a walking advertisement for her favourite game, or even write essays on her favourite character. sometimes she would ramble excessively about her interests to her friends in tea party and would later feel embarrassed by her inability to moderate her emotions.

her outward presentation of herself, while still undeniably a part of her, is often exaggerated to hide her insecurities and gain approval. her identity is a performance for a wider audience, it is not enough to simply be authentic, solveir needs others to see it and validate her for it; but because she is not confident in herself, she shows the world half of her so when people come to dislike her or when she comes to disappoint herself, it is only that half which has to bear the burden. even as she intentionally distances herself from others because of these masks she hides behind, solveir fears abandonment more than anything else and wishes for someone to see through her contradictions and understand parts of her that even she does not.
because of her insecurities and self-perceived inadequacy, solveir is prone to feeling extreme bouts of envy. it is the part she dislikes the most about herself. an ugly emotion that hurts her just as much as it does others, so she locks it away far from the surface of her persona. after the events of [unknown entry], solveir is more prone to awakening the feelings of envy — thanks to the interference of error!solveir — however, she is learning to control it rather than ignoring it; as envy gives rise to competition, and competition motivates her to aim higher.

born into a happy family of 4 (mom, dad, younger brother) in old sharlayan, solveir was left wanting for nothing. anything she wanted to try she was given the opportunity to by her parents. during her childhood years, she fell in love with art and the associated crafts. her parents, of course, would support her endlessly, gifting her paints and brushes.
solveir was a curious child, she was able to pick up new areas of study easily. thanks to this, solveir gained many friends in her formative years including the famed leveilleur twins and her parents had high hopes for her; hoping that by allowing her to indulge in art she would repay by working harder at subjects her parents wanted her to, and she did. solveir studied hard and won multiple awards for a variety of disciplines; including but not limited to dance, piano, and equestrian.
to solveir, acting out the part of an independent older sister was a small token of appreciation and repayment for her parents. while the rest of her family were planning trips and having fun, solveir, with encouragement from her parents, would lock herself up in her room to study. even if she wanted to join in on the family activities, she would hesitate to say anything, convincing herself that she hadn't "earned" the right to participate. part of her hoped that her parents would ask her to join first, but that day never came.

student years
thanks to her resume and a recommendation letter from ameliance leveilleur, she was able to enter the studium with no issues, temporarily leaving home to board at the school.
because of her connections to the leveilleur name and her achievements, making friends and fitting in was an easy task. she would laugh and cry with her fellow classmates, help organise papers and seating arrangements for the professors and occasionally take a cat nap in the art room. as popular as she was, a part of solveir always felt like something was missing, like she didn't truly belong.
this nagging feeling in her heart would continue to rear its head and solveir would squash it down every time without fail. she would remind herself of the people who cared for her and the support system she built in this small community. solveir would convince herself that they loved her for who she was.

rebelling for her future
given courage by her friends and mentors, solveir dyed her hair pink, an act that was frowned upon by her parents. gathering what little courage she had, and confronted her parents about her future, stating her desire to continue with art professionally. after months of discussions, her parents agreed to let her do as she wishes on the condition that she continues honing her skillset as a sage.
it was around this time when solveir heard the voice of hydaelyn for the first time. from this day on, solveir's drawings would come to life if she wished for it.

saving the world
solveir believed she was lucky to have been chosen to serve as a devoted follower of hydaelyn. she brandished her powers to become a widely praised hero of justice; saving villages, towns, cities and even whole continents. but when her closest companions continue to suffer from injuries and other life threatening events, she began to doubt everything she believed in; notably hydaelyn but most importantly, herself. was it her choices that placed her loved ones in a vulnerable position? this thought would continue to nag at her, causing her to become increasingly pessimistic and nihilistic.
after the events of [unknown entry] her soul has been corrupted and she no longer trusts the mothercrystal. saving the world is now simply a byproduct of her own selfish desires.

an event that solveir, and most if not everyone, does not recall happening but knows has taken place thanks to the birth of error!solveir.
no longer willing to trust in the gods, solveir drew a metaphysical device designed to sever the threads of fate, cutting hydaelyn from her life. however, fate is not so easily altered — especially for one whose patron deity is nymeia — and as a consequence of her defiance, her aether would lose control and create error!solveir, putting the people around her in harm's way.

alphinaud leveilleur
a few years into their friendship, alphinaud stumbled in on solveir ripping her canvas in frustrated tears; which became the catalyst for him to get to know and befriend the “real” solveir.
alphinaud has made it known that he would extend his hand and wait for as long as needed until solveir herself is willing to open up for love and acceptance.

during a swordsmanship competition, solveir became quick friends with alisaie, which would later lead her to forming a bond with alphinaud and the leveilleur family as a whole.
thanks to alisaie’s stubborn kindness and her continued pursuit for the truth, alisaie was the first person solveir willingly opened up to.
